I was so excited to see the first bloom ever on an aster that I planted at the end of May. I wasn't expecting it to flower until the fall so I went back to the American Meadows page to read up on what I bought. Evidently this cultivar, aster frikartii Monch, starts blooming in early summer and goes through the fall. That means that next year I can expect blooms even earlier. Awesome.
