Strawberries spread by runners and mine are stretching their legs. This one snuck over the top of the pot and is just about to touch the ground.

I've never grown strawberries in containers, but I couldn't resist buying a few transplants and this pot was my only available full sun location. I won't be harvesting berries until April. Until then, to help the mother plants prepare for big production, I've been pinching off any blooms. I understand from PlantAnswers.com that I am supposed to remove the runners too, but so far, I can't bring myself to do it.
