This coneflower reminds me of The Giving Tree. Near the end of its life, it is a resting place for an old butterfly. Soon, its seeds will be food for the birds.
It's nice to have another blogging neighbor to the south. Thanks for saying hi recently, Abbey. I've added Down to Earth to my blogroll and look forward to reading about your San Antonio garden.
Thanks RBell. I enjoyed perusing your blog. My front yard is mostly shade so I'm looking forward to learning from your experiences with shade gardening.
