Cabbage loopers have invaded our broccoli and turned it into Swiss cheese.
I think that this bug must have been the inspiration for The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. It's amazing how much one looper can eat, including meals that you wouldn't expect. Last year, I caught one eating an entire fig leaf and the beginnigs of another one.
Travis has been taking care of the problem organically with the "thumb and forefinger method," plus a cup of soapy water.
Ewww, bummer. Looks like my canna leaves - they are skeletons of their former selves! Happy Thanksgiving.
